Last month saw us organise the launch of the new Volvo D4 engine across a range of models.
Boasting increased fuel efficiency, lower emissions and a greater refinement, the brief was to showcase the capability of the new two litre four cylinder engine in a setting that reflected the more environmentally friendly aspects of having a more fuel efficient engine.
In order to deliver against this brief, we selected the newly refurbished Peak Edge Hotel in the picturesque Peak District. Set high in the hills on the outskirts of Chesterfield, the Peak Edge Hotel not only gave us access to nearby roads that would challenge the most powerful of engines but also gave drivers the chance to take in stunning scenery.
Accurately representing the Volvo brand values of style, class and sophistication, the hotel saw 83 journalists test drive five different Volvo models over five days. To date we have seen nearly 60 positive pieces of coverage come through for the launch of the new engine range and are expecting more to come through.
