- UK’s most successful Volvo retail salesman clocks up two new registrations a week
- 20% ahead of nearest rival in new car sales
- 56 new car sales completed since start of the year
Local Volvo dealership Murray Sighthill is celebrating after John Robertson, senior sales executive, has notched up the most sales of new cars in the entire UK-wide Volvo dealer network.
Robertson, 59, from Edinburgh is not only the top selling retail salesman in Scotland when it comes to his 38 competitors from both his own and other dealers, but he is also the best Volvo retail salesman in the UK, reaching the top spot out of 362 sales personnel.
Racking up an impressive 56 new car sales in just six months at the Bankhead Drive dealership in Edinburgh, sales whizz Robertson was averaging two new registrations each week from the start of the year until the end of June.
Not content with leading the pack, Robertson was also some way ahead of his nearest competitor, selling almost 20% more cars in six months than second placed Dan Le Cocq, from Donalds in Ipswich and a massive 40% more than Stewart Lee of Barnetts of Dundee.
Commenting on his sales success, John Robertson said: “It’s a fantastic achievement to be the best Volvo retail sales person in the entire country. We run a great operation here with fantastic products and amazing customers – I couldn’t have done it without that as well as mix of hard work, effort and lots of charm!”
Jim Scott, Franchise Manager at Murray Sighthill, added: “John is a truly awe-inspiring sales executive with a real knack to understand exactly what the customer is looking for, showing real empathy with our customers. I am not surprised he is the top retail sales person in the entire country, let alone Scotland.”
