You’re spoilt for choice this year with festivals all over the UK. For those on holiday in Devon during September, a fun and unusual event to check out is the Agatha Christie Festival. Taking place from September 15th to 22nd, you’re promised a jam-packed programme of events including exclusive visits to Agatha Christie’s holiday home at Greenway, vintage bus rides, murder mystery dinners, tea dances and garden parties. When down in Devon be sure to stay at Park Resorts’ Bideford Bay Holiday Park where you’ll find fun for all the family!

If you’re visiting East Anglia and Lincolnshire this summer check out Park Resorts’ California Cliffs Holiday Park which is a mere five minutes from the beach. If you’re into Exploding Brass!, Norfolk’s premier ‘proms in the park’ event takes place just outside Norwich on July 20th. Better still, make sure to visit the Waddington Air Show featuring the Red Arrows and the Bangers and Mash Ball at Lincoln’s Drill Hall, for great food, music and dancing.

In Wales, the Brecon Jazz Festival is an event that is likely to suit a more mature audience. Running over three days in early August, the eclectic festival line-up boasts stellar names from the jazz world such as Jools Holland, Courtney Pine, Django Bates and Acker Bilk. Of course, after all this excitement, you’ll need somewhere to rest your head, be sure to visit one of Park Resorts’ three Welsh Holiday Parks; Ty Mawr, Brynowen and Carmarthen Bay.

There are a number of great events lined up this summer in the Isle of Wight, including a packed programme of exhibitions at Quay Arts throughout July, while Go Yellow Day takes place across the island on July 12th. The summer is the best time to check out the farmers’ markets that pop up around the island each week. Keep the entertainment going by taking part in open mic night or karaoke back at your Park Resorts Holiday Park. Choose from Thorness Bay, Lower Hyde, Landguard and Nodes Point, all with indoor pools and easy beach access.

Up in Scotland, T in the park, arguably the country’s most famous annual music festival, will celebrate its 20th edition this year. The event is due to run from July 12th to 14th at its regular site at Balado in Kinross-shire, with headline performances from Mumford and Sons, Rihanna and The Killers.

For those seeking more of an intimate affair in beautiful surroundings, the Lomond Folk Festival could be the answer. Taking place over three nights in late July, the event will feature a variety of bands and soloists performing traditional Celtic music on the banks of Loch Lomond. Our two holiday parks Sandylands and Eyemouth provide top service and entertainment for all the family so be sure not to miss out when visiting the highlands.

Every year, one half of the much-loved Virgin Media V Festival takes place in Essex. This August, Beyonce and Kings of Leon will be headlining the proceedings at the Chelmsford festival, supported by Stereophonics, The Script, Jessie J and Basement Jaxx. Chelmsford’s Central Park also promises some great family action this summer with the popular 3foot People Festival in July, exclusively for under-fives (although their parents are also invited!) Explore Essex with Park Resorts and stay at one of its seven parks in the region; Highfield Grange, Naze Marine, Waterside, Coopers Beach, Martello Beach, Valley Farm or Weeley Bridge.
