How we supported Steven Smith to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease with an event that broke two Guinness World Records

Media relations campaigns Event creation, management and support

The Challenge

Support Steven Smith, entrepreneur from High Wycombe, to put on a huge event to raise awareness for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and to raise awareness of his fundraising work and the event, that broke two Guinness World Records

The Solution

It was our priority to understand more about the disease and work closely with the Motor Neurone Disease Association to draft an initial press release to promote the event to the media. The event involved indoor cycling/spinning to huge DJs from all over the world, so this was an event that we could target health, lifestyle, fitness and music media to raise ultimate awareness.

Nobull contacted regional and national media, as well as fitness and music trade media to maximise coverage of the event. We created material and expertise to send to key media outlets and liaised with journalists during the build-up of the launch.

We also supported the event by liaising with key stakeholders involved in the event, as well as celebrities that attended on the day, to maximise awareness.

We created press releases to support the DJs, the cycling equipment and Steven Smith as an individual, as well as liaising with Stoke Park to maximise attendance.

The Results

The Nobull team achieved extensive coverage across regional, national and trade press including:
