We have been working with The Caravan Club since September 2010.
We work as an extension of The Caravan Club in-house PR team when they need additional resources during busy times and events.
Recent work includes: Boost and research activity via the development, management and operation of a short-term Twitter campaign “Wildlife on Wheels”.
The objective was to create dialogue about the increasing number of activities people use their caravans for(from kite surfing to collecting vintage china), launch research and share information about The Caravan Club’s activities this autumn.
Devising unique and media-friendly fun polls, including one to find out which male and female celebrities people would most like to spend 24 hours in a caravan with:
Chris Evans and Peter Kay tied for first place in the male category and Cheryl Cole was the favourite female celebrity.
We managed media relations for the International Caravan and Motorhome Show at the NEC this October, bringing in in local, regional, national, online and lifestyle coverage before during and after the event including interviews of Caravan Club members and wildlife TV presenter Simon King on Central ITV evening news.
We worked with the leading holiday park operator as a full service press office, on strategic annual campaigns with key period boosts, feature articles, creative ideas, press releases, e-shots, social media strategy, seasonal opportunities, news hook opportunities, crisis communications, features, media interviews and internal communications. We focused on key activities and attributes of each location, targeting niche press as well as mainstream
media, and generated relevant ideas.
To ensure delivery of a fully integrated and consistent communications campaign we acted as an extension of the in-house PR team, working closely with the sales and marketing departments.
Our extensive media relationships in the travel sector enabled us to engage key target press from day one. Our understanding of media needs, coupled with an understanding of the travel industry, meant we placed creative ideas quickly and delivered an
impressive Return on Investment from month one.
We ran the overall communications campaign on two levels; the overarching brand alongside working with individual park managers and treating each park as an attraction in its own right.
We ensured a minimum of two pieces of national press coverage per month with an average ROI of £1: £21.
We enjoyed working with Avis for nearly 7 years across the entire business: fleet, corporate, travel trade, consumer leisure, partnerships and affiliations; working as an extension of the marketing and PR in-house team.
In our final year we achieved coverage worth a total equivalent advertising value of over £2Million
We played a key role in ensuring consistency between Avis Europe and Avis UK PR activity and messaging. Our strong media relationships enabled us to place creative and positive stories for Avis, giving a ‘reason to rent’ and moving away from stereotypical perceptions of car rental, which weren’t always favourable!
Our ability to work closely with Avis representatives throughout the business enabled us to find some real gems. We had great fun with the Valet team when we asked them to reveal the most unusual items left in returned vehicles:
a false limb and brace of pheasants were included in the list! The story went global, and had a serious purpose – to highlight the care taken by Avis of its fleet.
We used our previous environmental experience to work with Avis to leverage and raise awareness of its commitment to reduce its carbon footprint – it was leading the industry at this point.
Nobull Travel has been supporting Europ Assistance, one of the leading travel insurance and assistance companies, since 2006. Prior to our proactive communication campaign EA had very little PR presence.
In addition to offering the company a day to day press office service, Nobull Travel has successfully increased its share of voice across key media titles through features, opinion leader pieces and media events. Most importantly, we have handled crisis communications successfully for the company for the past two years.

Relationship strengthened with key insurance and travel publications through one-to-one briefings and targeted media events
Travelport: Octopus Travel and Galileo
Nobull was appointed to raise the profile of Octopus Travel against its online travel portal competitors, and ensure its travel expertise and knowledge were communicated to the consumer.
In addition we were tasked with increasing Galileo’s share of voice over competitor GDS providers, and ensure its industry expertise
and technology was communicated to the travel agent, highlighting benefits to the end user.
Achievements:
Nobull was brought in to support DB Tyne and Wear with the takeover of Metro. We launched Metro ‘Dig It’ campaign coinciding with the 100 day clean up project, introducing a microsite and customer e-newsletter which reached a record 556 subscribers in just one month.
Nobull hosted company press conferences and experiential events direct to consumer, in addition to managing consumer competitions and Meet The Manager events across Metro’s network. We also ran a successful regional advertising campaign for the company coinciding with its 100 –day clean-up project.
Nobull Travel was brought in by Chiltern Railways to support its in-house PR team and raise the company’s profile beyond the traditional consumer press. The main objectives were to raise Chiltern Railways’ profile in the business and business travel media and raise CEO’s profile as an expert in the industry to increase positive brand association.
