Anne-marie Payne - Director
Betty Boop eat your heart out. Pocket rocket Anne-marie has charmed more than one journalist in order to get her clients some well-earned column inches in the national press. She is creative, dynamic and addicted to eating chocolate biscuits.
Previous Experience
Anne-marie has worked agency side for over 20 years, and during her career managed a diverse portfolio of clients that included Ford, Thames Water and 3M. Having spent time at agencies specialising purely in PR, full service consultancies and an event management company, Anne-marie offers experience across a wide range of marketing and communications disciplines.
Steve Carman - Director
A teller of bad jokes and a pretty dismal golf player, Steve has worked both as a journalist and client side, and claims to have seen and done most things. He still misses the cut and thrust of journalism and the manufacturer press launches in Italy. A self confessed Kylie fanatic, he supports Norwich City (well someone has to) and likes vanilla fudge. He also loves being surrounded by his ‘birds’ who make up the rest of Nobull.
Previous Experience
Steve was a journalist for six years before entering the world of PR with VW Group and Inchcape. He ran PR and marketing for Lex Vehicle Leasing and headed up PR for Hyundai Car UK.
Kally Carder- Account Manager
Classy Kally always ensures the office is a lively place to be. With her infectious laugh and straight talking manner she succeeds in keeping clients happy whilst managing to have a giggle too. At the end of the day Kally likes nothing better than to kick back with a glass of wine and a big pot of Taramasalata. When not doing that, this PR ‘darling’ loves sunning herself (weather permitting) in the various parks of Berkshire.
Previous Experience
Kally joined Nobull in 2006 from a specialist aviation and travel pr agency, where she worked on clients such as low cost airline flybe, Bombardier Aerospace, executive jet operator Club328 and chauffeur drive specialists Matrix.
Kally graduated in 2002 with a degree in media studies and has worked in the PR game ever since. She enjoys writing and talks to everyone and anyone on her quest to achieve the best possible coverage for her clients!
Victoria Newlands - Head of Sociabull
Vics is our resident supermodel, with long legs and a bod to die for, but she is no dumb blonde. This bird recently graduated with flying colours from Lincoln Uni, where she studied for a PR degree. Vicki lives her life to the full, whether she’s working on client campaigns, necking red wine or pumping iron at the gym, she always gives it her all!
An expert in blogging and the way new media can benefit PR activity, Vicki brings some much needed technological knowledge to Nobull. Always full of life and fresh ideas, she’s a real find!

She has also had a great foundation in Public Relations and events management, working with the likes of Weber Shandwick, Farnborough Airshow and Silverstone.
Melanie Blanksby - Associate Account Director
The only person I’ve ever met who can fall over in the snow while standing still just because they weren’t ‘concentrating’, Melanie is also really bad at bowling, unless it’s mixed with a few beers! On the up side, Melanie is incredibly inventive and creative, and a genius at finding fabulous places for events. Oh, and she can speak fluent French, which is v. impressive!
Previous experience
Melanie has over 9 years of experience in senior management roles at full service and specialist PR agencies, preceded by 6 years in pan-European food marketing and new product development. She has wide contacts and experience in lifestyle, food and drink (especially Champagne!) venues, spas and hotels, as well as health and wellbeing. Melanie provides no-nonsense strategic thinking for her clients as well as applying her creativity to making PR plans that work and events that are memorable down to fine details. Originally a linguist she has come to PR via marketing, and this means she never loses sight of her clients’ needs.
Liz Cash - Head of Accounts
It’s all in the name! Liz has a head for figures and she leaves no stone unturned in her quest for mathematical perfection! With 10 years experience in accounts and book keeping, Liz makes sure the Nobull cash flow ticks over nicely. A mum of two and always the voice of reason, Liz is a great asset to the Nobull family. Whether calming the divas or relaying stories of her wild past Liz fits in a treat!

Simon Clay - Head of Design

Pam Joyce - Financial Controller
Small and feisty, Pam holds no prisoners! With 17 years accountancy experience, she sorts out all the complicated things like tax codes and national insurance payments. While most in her position would send you to sleep, Pam’s zest for life and unique laugh has us all in stitches.
Previous experience
Pam has worked for the likes of SAS International, Price Waterhouse and Johnson and Johnson and now freelances for small and large companies alike!
Ali Maynard - Account Manager
When our resident Essex Girl turned up on her first day we were waiting for the white stilettos and orange-tastic tan but Ali’s no wannabe wag. With legs to rival Elle McPherson and a laugh that reverberates around the county, this PR graduate is a true Nobullite. While she is fountain of all music knowledge, a serial festival goer and self confessed addict of trash TV, this exterior of cool hides an inner geek... She was Head Girl at school, worked her little socks off at Uni for a 2:1 and studies Jamie Oliver’s cookery books in her spare time! Ali is up for any challenge big or small, from office tea to climbing mountains and raising £10,000 for charity, she takes it all in her stride!
Previous experience
Ali graduated in 2009 from Bournemouth University with a degree in Public Relations. She has previously worked for CCgroup, Borkowski and CLSA. She is a whizz at all things social media and works across all client sectors at Nobull.
Martin Bayntun - Account Manager
Martin is Nobull’s boy wonder – odd for a man hailing from Middlesbrough but this super hero is indeed a northern lad! Martin is our resident wordsmith having started his career as a regional journalist before turning his pen to PR three years ago. A musical prodigy, Martin puts the rest of us to shame with his piano, drum and guitar playing skills. A self-confessed indie boy and ex-lead guitarist for that well known band “Serotonin”, we often have to fend off the groupies queuing up outside the office!

With NCTJ qualifications in journalism gained during his time in Yorkshire, Martin joined Nobull following three years at a specialist automotive agency, where he looked after UK Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge Dealer PR.

This gorgeous South African is a graduate from Swansea University with a penchant for running round the Buckinghamshire countryside! Having worked as an automotive and lifestyle journalist in her life BN (Before Nobull) Margaux is our writing whizz! A key member of Steve’s ‘awesome automotive’ team, she can turn her pen to almost anything vehicle related from cars to vans and even security systems... Marge can torque the talk!

Bobbie O'Sullivan - Account Executive
Bobbie is our resident placement student studying Event Management at Bournemouth University. Keen on learning all there is to know about events in twelve months, Bobbie has already been involved with three events in just three months! Originally from Aylesbury, this blonde bombshell loves going out for dinner and gossiping with friends but you will mainly catch her at weekends watching the latest movie or re-watching a Disney film for the ‘umpteenth time! Not too keen on any form of hot drinks, you would be better asking her if she would like a jug of cocktail!
Dane Cobain – Social Media Executive
The new kid on the block and office vegetarian, Dane is a recent Creative Writing graduate from Roehampton University. Though his spiritual home is Glastonbury Festival, Dane spends his time reading, writing and trawling the Internet for the entertaining and obscure in his bachelor pad in High Wycombe. Music is his life – he writes his own songs and loves live music, tapping his feet to everyone from Strauss to Skrillex. Alex Gardner – Media Relations Manager
Originally from sunny Southport, Alex is a ‘proper’ northerner – half Mancunian, half Liverpudlian. The face of Fashion TV Milton Keynes and an experienced blogger and columnist, her biggest shock on joining Nobull was learning that she’d be expected to parade through London in an ill-fitting Ava Gardner wig and barely any clothing for Charnos Hosiery’s National Stockings Day. She used to be a respectable journalist, trained at the University of Central Lancashire – look what we’ve done to her!
Previous Experience
Alex has worked for Johnston Press for nearly four years as a fashion and lifestyle features writer across regional magazines from glossy Style Buckinghamshire to friendly kid’s mag Chill Out. She also wrote a weekly fashion column in the MK Citizen and has worked on social media outlets, blogs and TV shows – she’s even been part of a street dance crew and worked as a dancer in a retro-themed nightclub!
