Get your groove on!

Nearly one in three UK-based humans is now classified as obese, the highest proportion in Europe besides Malta and Turkey. Meantime, almost half of the nation’s dog owners (48%) are obsessing over whether their pets are getting the right amount of exercise every day, according to new research commissioned by Nobull client, YuMOVE, the UK's no.1 vet-recommended joint supplement brand.*

While the nation gets fatter, our canines appear to be getting fitter.

Some are even investing in dog activity monitors to keep track of their best friend’s exercise and wellbeing levels, as demonstrated by the 32% year on year increase in the sale of these cutting-edge doggy gadgets (stat from PitPat).

For the 19% of owners who shamefully confess their mutt doesn’t always get enough exercise and the 15% who still haven’t got the foggiest idea how much exercise their pet needs to stay fit and healthy, there is a new incentive that’s going to help get them moving…and grooving.

Introducing, YuGROOVE – THE pet contest of Summer 2023, and one with an important health message. Active dogs and cats are happy, healthy dogs and cats!

UK pet owners have been officially invited to show off their ‘groovy’ pets. Being groovy means different things to different pets, so there are six YuGROOVE categories to help inspire would-be contestants - and people can enter as many as they like with a 10-15 second film.

By entering the YuGROOVE competition the nation’s furry groovers will not only get the chance to win fantastic prizes and be crowned YuGROOVE Champion 2023, they’ll also be supporting the tireless work of Kasey Carlin, Maggie the Wonder Dog and their rescue charity, Wunder Dog Rescue, which transforms the lives of disabled dogs and dogs with differences.

The YUGROOVE judging panel includes TV vet, Dr Scott Miller, Britain’s Got Talent celebrity dog trainer, Ashleigh Butler, and TV presenter, Radzi Chinyanganya.

We’ve had the privilege and pleasure of bringing this feel-good campaign to life alongside the inspiring in-house team at YuMOVE. Knowing how we’re all helping needy dogs in the process is the most brilliant bonus.
