IS THIS THE GREATEST TEST OF HUMAN ENDURANCE? Craig Gilchrist attempts to break world record for static bike ride

On Saturday 2 November, Craig Gilchrist a personal trainer from Stoke on Trent will attempt to break the  world record for a marathon static bike ride, a record he previously missed out on by 12 hours. In a bid to raise awareness a for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, Craig’s attempt will see him cycling a minimum of 276 miles a day with only 60 minutes rest in a 24 hour period. The event takes place at The Wallace Sports and Education Centre, Stoke on Trent.  If Craig is successful in his attempt he will cycle the equivalent of 4140 miles, in 12 days, the same distance from Stoke on Trent to New Delhi in India.
